Control Mannequin

This exercise focuses on control and targeting, helping participants understand their functional limits while building confidence in swinging a lightsaber at a friend. It also lays the ground-work for some advanced techniques.

You'll need two participants:

The Attacker will launch continuous strikes for 30 seconds, 1 minute, or 1 minute 30 seconds—with no pauses, no breaks. The goal is to get as close as possible without making contact.

The Mannequin stands still, is unarmed, and their arms are held behind their backs,  and they note the number of times they are made contact with.

You will be judged on the number of accidental connections to the Mannequins body. The exercise typically ends if the Attacker hits the body three times, though this number can be adjusted based on the student's skill level.

The Advanced Variation has the Mannequin move around, and the Attacker must compensate for this.
