Two people are picked as the Chosen Ones, and they take turns Choosing attendee's until the class is split evenly. If the class has an uneven number of participants, the highest-ranked member becomes the Referee.
Each team then separates and secretly assigns each member a number from 1 to the total number of people on their team. For example, if a team has six members, they are numbered 1-6.
Then, a member from each team faces off in a 1-minute Flowbat match. These matches can follow standard rules or introduce unique challenges, such as obstacles to avoid or difficult terrain that restricts movements, and if the terrains rules are violated, the match resets for both. This can be stepping into an area that is of limits, stepping on a marker, and so on. This video shows an example of using small cones to represent territory they cannot step on, and how they deal with that.
