Form V (Shien/Djem So) Greatsaber Variant
The greatsaber exemplifies the extremes of Form V; in terms of both its offensive and defensive capabilities. However, this comes at increased physical cost to the wielder. The increased length of the blade (up to 40") massively increases the reach of the weapon, allowing the user to strike at foes from a greater distance, with the longer hilt providing greater leverage to enable surprisingly fast movements. This increased reach also benefits the flexibility of Shien, allowing the Dragon's Wing stance to be used with greater reliability. However, this increased heft requires the utmost stamina cost to the wielder, as even with a lighter-weight Greatsaber, there is significantly more resistance when moving the saber through the air. This heavily limits the Greatsaber to a maximum Speed 2, and even this is hard to maintain over time. Thusly, the Greatsaber serves a fantastic tool for building control and stamina.
